What We Do

What projects have we been supporting?

Variety Club Children's Charity Hospital Ward

TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation are currently supporting the Variety Club Children's Hospital in the renovation of their children's wards.

The Variety Club Children's Hospital at King's College Hospital in nationally and internationally recognised for the work that it does, in particular within the specialist fields of liver disease, neurosurgery, cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease.

40,000 children are treated at this hospital every year and it is renowned for providing quality services for local children.

In 2003 King's College Hospital launched a major five year programme to renovate and refurbish all six of the wards on the Variety Club Children's Hospital. Since it opened in 1985 demand on the hospital has increased dramatically, resulting in a tired congested enviroment that was in urgent need of modernisation.

The five year programme aims to make better use of ward space, improve facilities for the children in its care as well as the hospital staff, and replace old equipment. We have pledged a massive £700,000 to totally renovate one of the wards. This is now a fully functioning ward at King's College Hospital, called TONI&GUY Ward.

Fondazione Oasi Regina Degli Angeli, Italy

As well as the Variety Club, the Foundation has been supporting the Fondazione Oasi Regina Degli Angeli in the construction of a centre which offers support to those people who are at a disadvantage due to physical or psychological problems, or because of their social or personal circumstances. The refuge supports numerous vulnerable children and young people to escape problems of abuse.

The Fondazione are working to complete the Hostel, develop medical facilities which are run by volunteer doctors and paramedics, and create educational resources for residents.
