For the third consecutive year Toni&Guy Edinburgh were requested to create the hair for the high profile Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show 2008. University students organised the entire show, which included 38 models presenting the latest designs on the catwalk in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Project Scotland.
The following team members sacrificed most of their weekend to work for free backstage, creating the dramatic looks. They organised their time and designed the hair themselves and were extremely professional throughout.
Well done to the following: Gillian Solley, Christina Carroll, Michael Hamilton, Stephanie Morgan, Suzanne Law and Sharon Wong.

On Sunday 9th March 2008 four of our team presented models as part of a hair show to celebrate their recent promotions. They each spent a lot of time, designing and completing cuts and colours on several models, organised the fashion, make-up and choreography. There was an audience of at least 100 people consisting of friends, family and colleagues. It was an amazing show and they all worked really hard. Michael worked the DJ box and Sharon was a professional on the microphone, hosting the show.
Thanks to Bryan and Stuart at Le Monde for organising the event in Shanghai nightclub. You guys are brilliant.
Congratulations to Amanda Caddow, Michael Hamilton, Stephanie Morgan and Sharon Wong.

On Saturday 17th May 2008 the Toni&Guy Edinburgh team descended into the deep dark Edinburgh Vaults for an overnight vigil as part of Ghost Fest in aid of charity. They were locked in at midnight and did not emerge until 6.00am! Armed with various ghost busting equipment (electro-magnetic field recorders and digital thermometers) the team bravely investigated various underground cells, which are infamous for their paranormal activity. Many of the team experienced unexplainable phenomena, including the previously sceptic! Though unfortunately no ghosts were caught on camera, everyone experienced strange noises, unpleasant smells and rooms with cold spots to make their hearts race.
These Blair Street vaults attract much media interest and have been included in programmes for the BBC, National Geographic Channel and Living TV’s ‘Most Haunted’. For more information on the vaults visit www.mercattours.com. With many thanks to the Mercat Tours team for being so professional and supportive.
Through the team’s bravery, a substantial amount of money has been raised (donations and sponsorships are still being counted) for the Toni&Guy Charitable Foundation, which is currently working with Kings College Hospital London to provide facilities for critically ill children.
