On 11th March, one of the biggest earthquakes on record struck Japan, creating a tsunami that swept across the east coast of the country. The giant wave caused absolute devastation, leaving villages in tatters and taking thelives of over 8,000 people. 12,000 are still missing and many more are in desperate need of help.

TONI&GUY has 20 salons in Japan and we are pledging support to our Japanese colleagues by joining with them to raise funds for the relief efforts. All contributions to this appeal will be donated by the TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation to the British Red Cross.
The British Red Cross is working with their Japanese counterparts to provide first aid and health care through mobile clinics, and to establish services in the most remote areas. The Japanese Red Cross has been working on the ground since the disaster began, mobilising hundreds of doctors, nurses and support staff. 122,500 blankets and 8,600 emergency kits have already been distributed, with many more on the way.
The Red Cross has also opened a Family Links service, which helps to reunite family members who were separated during the disaster. So far over 5,100 people have registered on the website.
The costs of the relief effort, and of rebuilding the homes and lives of those affected, will be immense.
To contribute to this appeal, please pledge your donation in one of the following ways:
All donations to this appeal will be used by The Red Cross towards helping the Japanese people recover from this devastating natural disaster. THANK YOU.
