James Tarbuck, Global Brand Director


Having joined the company in 2001 from a TV and production background, James has tackled the complex task of forming a cohesive brand-enhancing strategy, creating sophisticated and innovative above-the-line campaigns across the Mascolo Group brands. Core areas have included: the creation of TONI&GUY.TV, the launch of TONI&GUY Magazine, third party brand initiatives and the development of both the PR and Design teams.

TONI&GUY.TV was launched in 2003 - the first of its kind - to enhance clients in-salon experience and operates on a global scale. With more than 90,000 views per week in the UK alone, it has also become an outlet for associated, like-minded brands to communicate to this sought-after audience.

Under James' direction, TONI&GUY.TV was subsequently joined by TONI&GUY Magazine, a hair and lifestyle title reaching 360,000 consumers nationwide, produced by award-winning publishers FST. Distributed in salons across Europe and reaching as far as Australasia and exciting new markets in China - the magazine promotes an inspirational, yet accessible face of the company to clients, employees and franchisees alike, creating a global brand consistency. In 2010 TONI&GUY Magazine won 'Best Consumer Publication' at the APA's International Consumer Publishing Awards, with TONI&GUY TV winning an award for 'Best Use of Video'.
