The refuge, based in Italy where the Mascolo family originates, supports numerous vulnerable children and young people with physical or psychological disabilities or who find themeselves in unfortunate social or personal circumstances.
The refuge fundraises to maintain its hostel, to develop medical facilities which are run by volunteer doctors and paramedics, and create educational resources for residents.
